The cigar Morphine by the Black Label Trading Co., is a wonderful smoke. So much so that I looked up some background on this one. It has two wrappers. The first is a Mexican San Andres Maduro wrapper and the second is an Ecuadorian Maduro wrapper. Includes both Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers and a Nicaraguan Habano binder. My friends, this is a beautiful cigar.
One cigar connoisseur commented that this cigar was big, bold and bad-ass. It is full-bodied, yet a smooth cigar. It lit well and burned nicely leaving a solid ash until I flicked it off in the tray. An oak wood aftertaste that was pleasant. A hint of spice that went very well with the Forgiven Bourbon by Wild Turkey I was sipping during a rainy and lazy afternoon this 4th of July day while grilling Filet Mignon on the Big Green Egg out on the covered screened-in.
A great cigar, bourbon and incredibly juicy steaks, cut off the cob corn, and my own special recipe baked beans – an awesome, awesome evening!
