A Slice of Pure Bliss

Imagine pulling a warm loaf of Chocolate Chip & Walnut Banana Bread out of the oven—the golden crust slightly crisp, the aroma of sweet bananas, melted chocolate, and toasted walnuts filling your kitchen.

As you slice into it, the inside is unbelievably moist and tender, packed with rich, gooey pockets of melted chocolate and the perfect crunch from buttery walnuts. Each bite is a perfect balance of sweetness, nuttiness, and deep, caramelized banana flavor, with hints of vanilla and cinnamon dancing on your taste buds.

The chocolate melts into the soft, cake-like crumb, coating your tongue in silky richness, while the walnuts add that satisfying crunch that keeps you coming back for another bite. Whether enjoyed warm with a pat of butter, toasted for extra crisp edges, or straight from the fridge for a denser, fudgier texture, this banana bread is pure comfort food.

Pour yourself a cup of coffee, curl up in your favorite chair, and indulge in a slice (or two) of homemade perfection. Because this isn’t just banana bread—it’s a little piece of heaven.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups 1.5 all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon 1 baking soda

  • 0.25 teaspoon 0.25 salt

  • 3 3 ripe bananas

  • 0.5 cup 0.5 unsalted butter

  • 0.75 cup 0.75 brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon 1 vanilla extract

  • 1 1 large egg

  • 0.5 cup 0.5 chocolate chips

  • 0.5 cup 0.5 walnuts

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan. Ensure it is evenly coated with butter.
  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir well to combine all the dry ingredients.
  • Mash the bananas in another bowl using a fork until smooth, then stir in melted butter and mix thoroughly.
  • Add brown sugar, vanilla extract, and egg to the mashed bananas. Whisk until the mixture is well combined.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, folding gently until all flour is moistened.
  • Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula. If desired, sprinkle on extra nuts.
  • Bake in the oven for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes clean.
  • Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
