Casano 18
The Casano 18 turned out to be a wonderfully relaxing vacation smoke — the kind of cigar that pairs perfectly with slowing down, forgetting schedules, and simply enjoying the moment.
From the first draw, the cigar delivered a smooth, rich, and creamy profile that immediately felt comforting and refined. Layers of leather and smoky tobacco formed the heart of the experience, giving the cigar a warm, mature character without becoming too heavy or overpowering.
What really made the cigar stand out for me, however, were the subtle vanilla notes drifting quietly beneath the richer flavors. That touch of sweetness softened the leathery tobacco core beautifully and gave the smoke an almost dessert-like smoothness at times. The balance among creaminess, smoke, leather, and sweetness worked exceptionally well.
As the cigar progressed, the finish developed into a pleasant woody character that lingered nicely on the palate after each draw. The smoke itself remained thick, smooth, and easygoing throughout the experience, making it a perfect cigar to enjoy slowly while unwinding on vacation.
Construction was solid as well. The cigar burned evenly, produced plenty of aromatic smoke, and maintained a comfortable draw from beginning to end.
At around $5.30 a stick, the Casano 18 offered a surprisingly refined and flavorful experience for the money. Rich enough to stay interesting, smooth enough to remain relaxing, and balanced enough to enjoy all the way down.
Definitely one I’d happily smoke again — especially somewhere warm and far away from work.
