Sun Grown
The Sun Grown delivered exactly what I hoped for when trying a reasonably priced cigar — solid construction, enjoyable flavor, and a smoking experience that far exceeded expectations for the cost.
After a careful toast, the cigar lit easily and settled into an even burn that remained consistent throughout the smoke. The draw was smooth and effortless, producing thick, flavorful clouds without any need for touch-ups or corrections along the way. Best of all, there was no tongue bite, bitterness, or lingering harshness — just a clean, enjoyable smoke from beginning to end.
Flavor-wise, the cigar offered a rich combination of earth and spice layered over a sturdy cedar foundation. The profile leaned medium-to-full-bodied, providing enough strength and complexity to keep things interesting without becoming overwhelming. The spice remained balanced throughout, complementing the earthy tobacco notes rather than dominating them.
One of the more interesting aspects of the cigar was its finish. A subtle tanginess lingered on the palate after each draw, adding a unique dimension to the smoking experience and helping distinguish it from many other sun-grown blends I’ve smoked. That slight tang paired nicely with the cedar and spice, creating a profile that remained flavorful and engaging throughout.
At just $5.59, this cigar delivered tremendous value. While it may not be the most complex or memorable cigar I’ve ever smoked, it performed well, tasted good, and left me feeling completely satisfied with the purchase.
No complaints here. In fact, for the price, I’d call it a very good smoke.

It’s a nice day today and this cigar is still a nice smoke.
