Partaga’s Habana
The Partagás Habana Short turned out to be one of those memorable cigars made even better by the experience and friendship surrounding it.
A good friend handed me this Cuban-made gem after we returned home from Jamaica, and from the very first draw, it was clear this was no ordinary short smoke. Despite its smaller size, the cigar delivered a surprisingly full-bodied and flavorful experience packed with character from beginning to end.
What immediately stood out was the unusual but incredibly enjoyable combination of fresh vanilla sweetness and smooth peanut-like nuttiness woven throughout the smoke. It created a creamy, rich texture on the palate that felt comforting yet refined. Beneath those softer flavors lingered the classic earthy tobacco richness and spice that Partagás cigars are known for.
The spice profile was especially impressive. The cigar carried a lively peppery edge that lingered throughout the smoke, yet somehow remained smooth and gentle rather than harsh or overpowering. That balance between strength and refinement made the cigar incredibly enjoyable to smoke slowly and savor.
Construction was excellent as well. The cigar burned evenly from start to finish and produced thick, aromatic smoke that beautifully carried its sweet and spicy character.
What amazed me most was how much flavor and richness this little cigar managed to pack into such a compact format. Some short cigars feel rushed or one-dimensional. This one felt complete, refined, and deeply satisfying.
A flavorful Cuban smoke shared between friends after a Jamaican vacation — honestly, that is the kind of cigar memory that tends to stick with you for a very long time.
