Vintage 1999 Connecticut
The Vintage 1999 Connecticut turned out to be an exceptionally relaxing and flavorful mild-bodied smoke — the kind of cigar that quietly wins you over the longer you spend with it.
From the first draw, the cigar delivered a smooth, creamy profile layered with soft notes of earth, toasted wood, cedar, and subtle natural sweetness. Nothing about the smoke was aggressive or overpowering. Instead, it leaned fully into that mellow Connecticut character while still offering enough flavor to keep the experience engaging all the way through.
What I appreciated most was the balance. The creamy texture of the smoke paired beautifully with the gentle woody and earthy notes, creating a profile that felt refined, comforting, and incredibly easy to enjoy. This is the kind of cigar you can smoke slowly while unwinding after a long day without feeling like it demands your full attention every second.
Construction was excellent as well. The burn remained even, the draw stayed effortless, and the cigar consistently produced thick, smooth smoke from beginning to end.
In fact, I enjoyed this one so much that I literally smoked it down to the nub — almost burning my fingers in the process.
And honestly, that may be the highest compliment a cigar can receive.
Some cigars are enjoyable while you smoke them. Others make you want every last puff before finally setting them down. The Vintage 1999 Connecticut absolutely fell into that second category for me.
A mellow, creamy, flavorful little gem and a wonderful change of pace.
