Cu-Avana Intenso
The Cu-Avana Intenso, unfortunately, turned out to be a fairly forgettable smoking experience for me.
From the start, the cigar leaned extremely mild — almost too mild. While I certainly enjoy smoother cigars, this one lacked the richness and flavor needed to really hold my attention. The opening was especially bland, offering very little in the way of complexity or character beyond basic tobacco notes.
The draw also proved to be somewhat tight throughout most of the smoke, requiring more effort than I would have liked. Fortunately, the cigar did at least burn fairly well, maintaining a respectable burn line despite the restricted airflow.
About midway through, a little more personality finally began to emerge. Some earthy flavors started to develop, adding at least a bit of depth and warmth to the profile. But even then, the cigar never truly woke up or evolved into anything particularly memorable.
That became the recurring theme of the entire experience:
It simply lacked excitement.
No sweetness, no creaminess, no rich tobacco depth, no evolving complexity — just a mild, somewhat flat smoke that drifted along without ever really going anywhere interesting.
Not offensive. Not terrible. Just… blaaa.
And honestly, sometimes that may be the harshest criticism a cigar can receive.
