Gurkha
This Gurkha delivered a surprisingly refined and relaxing smoking experience — smooth, flavorful, and balanced from beginning to end.
From the first light, the cigar produced a warm, toasty aroma that immediately set the tone for the smoke. The profile leaned rich and creamy with a soft, velvety texture that coated the palate nicely without becoming heavy or overpowering. Beneath the creaminess lingered a subtle hint of spice, adding just enough character and complexity to keep the cigar interesting throughout.
The smoke itself remained smooth and approachable throughout. Notes of toasted wood, light earth, cream, and mild spice worked together beautifully, creating a profile that felt both mellow and flavorful. Nothing harsh, nothing overly bold — just a well-balanced cigar that was easy to sit back and enjoy.
Construction was equally impressive. The burn line stayed even from start to finish, requiring very little attention, while the draw remained comfortable and consistent throughout the smoke. The cigar also produced plenty of rich, aromatic smoke that lingered pleasantly in the air.
What stood out most to me was the finish. Long, creamy, and satisfying, it left behind a lingering warmth and richness that made the overall experience feel complete even after setting the cigar down.
A very pleasant smoke overall and another reminder that when Gurkha gets a blend right, they can produce a genuinely enjoyable cigar.
