Today I had lunch at Adrienne & Co. Bakery & Cafe at 129 West Court Avenue in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Not being much on frou-frou places to eat I never would have gone out of my way to eat here. Yes, I was dragged in kicking and screaming by a, shameful to say, girl.
The atmosphere was nice and some of the women coming and going out of that place were beautiful! So that helped a whole lot. We ordered at the counter and didn’t have to wait long before our food arrived. I had the Reuben. I have to tell you, it was nasty. The meat was like it was pulled out of a pouch of lunch meat. Everything else about the sandwich – the toasted rye bread, sauerkraut and dressing – was okay, and I nibbled at it. The turtle brownie I ordered for dessert was to die for! Awesome!!!
So what inspired me to write this post? A bad sandwich? No. It was Amy. She walked by and noticed that I had pushed my sandwich aside and asked how everything was. I didn’t make a big deal out of anything but she insisted that she get me another sandwich. Not knowing what I really wanted she said “Trust me. I’ll fix you right up.” Man, did she ever. She brought me a grilled cheese on focaccia bread that was absolutely the best grilled cheese sandwich I ever ate.
It was Amy’s concern for a good dining experience, her personality and customer services that really, really impressed me and urged me to write this.
Adrienne & Co., also has a lounge area, big screen TV and free wi-fi. I’d go back again. The atmosphere is perfect for enjoying a coffee and cake while blogging on your laptop, meeting with a customer, or sitting down with a few friends to enjoy a board game.
Oh, and one last thing… if you are ever in the market for a cake Adrienne & Co., makes absolutely beautiful, and tasty cakes!
