J. Diego Zero Robusto – Triple 777
The Triple 777 cigar proved to be a satisfactory smoke overall, though it did not leave a lasting impact on me. Mechanically, the cigar performed admirably. It ignited easily, burned consistently, and retained its ash remarkably well. The draw was silky and steady, producing a mild, smooth smoke that remained pleasant throughout, without turning harsh or difficult to draw. However, the cigar fell short for me in terms of flavor. The wrapper appeared unremarkable, lacking distinctive elements to enhance the overall taste profile. While smoking, I found myself yearning for more pronounced flavors or spices, but none emerged significantly. Subtle hints of wood, light tobacco, and earthiness were detectable, but the flavor profile remained subdued from start to finish. This is not necessarily a downside, as some smokers appreciate a mild and straightforward cigar, which the Triple 777 delivers effortlessly. It was easy to smoke, well-mannered, and suitable for a relaxed smoking experience while engaged in outdoor activities. However, it lacked the richness, intricacy, or memorable essence that would compel me to revisit it repeatedly. Though not a poor cigar by any means, it did not captivate me enough to stock up or reserve a box in the humidor. In essence, it was a decent smoke, but not one that stood out.
