Angel 100

Angel 100

Very mild with a sweet woody flavor. This cigar drew perfectly and produced a fine even burn with a solid ash. And only $2.60 a stick.

Vintage 1992

Rocky Patel Vintage 1992

Medium bodied, creamy, smooth smoke with a pinch of nut. Full flavored with an even burn. Left just a touch of a lingering aftertaste on the tongue for several hours after smoking. $7.00 for this one.

Partaga’s Habana

Partaga's Habana

This Cuban-made Partaga’s short was given to me by a good friend after we returned home from Jamaica. It is full-bodied with fresh vanilla and smooth peanut taste. A spicy yet gentle smoke with an even burn.

Purios Indias Viejo

Purios Indias Viejo

Medium bodied with an earthy core and a touch of sweetness. Smooth from beginning to end. I enjoyed this one. They were aged six years and are limited. I’ll have to hurry to order more before they are all gone.

Graycliff Double Espresso

Graycliff Double Espresso

This cigar supposedly has deep, rick notes of chocolate and coffee to coat the palate – I did not experience any of that. I did however experience a robust note of toast and spice. Especially the spice. Overall, not a bad experience but for me, not worth $13.00 a stick.

Cu-Avana Intenso

Cu-Avana Intensio Rubusto

This cigar has a spicy core with an underpinning of dense, oaky, earthy notes. Overall is was not satisfying but it did burn well and was very solid. $3.12

La Estrella Cubana Oscuro

La Estrella Cubana Oscuro

This $1.99 Robusto was smooth, but nothing special. It is supposed to have had lingering notes of dark unsweetened chocolate, toast and espresso bean – I experienced none of that. This was the first cigar I’ve snuffed out before getting half way through it.

Cuba Libre

Cuba Libre Club Corona

Buttery smooth. Medium. Leather and toast – earthy. Good burn. Not peppery as advertised. Very good. I smoked this one to the nub. $3.00

Toro

Toro Maduro by Rocky Patel Olde World Reserve

Earthy, spicy and loaded with subtle nuances that include coffee and wood. At times the draw of spice is that of pepper – a blast of pepper! Not much in the way of coffee and it burned unevenly. Overall experience? Not worth the money at $9.40 a stick.
